This certificate program will provide licensed and pre-licensed clinicians an opportunity for case consultation through a depth psychological lens, as well as study & discussion of many core ideas and foundational principles of Analytical (Jungian) Psychology.
In this training program, the journey of individuation and the relationship between the ego and the Self will be held as core to clinical work, without neglecting the day-to-day issues in clients’ lives and the logistics of clinical practice.
This clinical training will span 6 months, with at least 12 live meetings online. All participants will gain a certification in Analytical Psychology for ongoing professional development along with 24 CEUs from The Salome Institute, and the option of being part of Satya’s professional referral network.
The training instructor is Jungian psychotherapist and licensed supervisor, Satya Doyle Byock, author of Quarterlife: The Search for Self in Early Adulthood, Director of The Salome Institute of Jungian Studies, and host of The Red Book Podcast. You can learn more about Satya here.

Course Objectives + Material:
This immersive 6-month program will provide an expansive understanding of Analytical (Jungian) Psychology for clinicians, with an emphasis on the journey of individuation. While this applies to all adult psychology, we will also explore Quarterlife psychology (approx. 18-38 ages) at length. Gatherings will include clinical case consultation and discussion of core texts within Analytical Psychology plus additional valuable texts that provide necessary framework from non-European, and non-hetero viewpoints.
Satya will select core texts from the world of Jungian psychology and related authors for discussion. Some readings will be provided via pdf and some may require purchase.
Authors may include Carl Jung, Erich Neumann, Claire Douglas, Joseph Campbell, Marie-Louise von Franz, Carol Gilligan, bell hooks, Audre Lorde, and others.
Each participant will have the opportunity to discuss at least one clinical case to the group for discussion. The frequency of these case presentations will be determined post-registration.
Further one-on-one consultation will be available with Satya at significant discount off of her standard consultation fee throughout the length of the training.
Discussions between group members will be facilitated via an accessible and entirely private online platform (Circle Communities).
Some themes for definition and exploration:
Individuation; shadow; persona; ego-Self axis; projection; libido; collective unconscious; personal unconscious; transference + countertransference; anima + animus and an updated awareness of psychological gender / the inner feminine and the inner masculine for all people; men’s work; women’s work; understanding of LGBTQ perspectives.
Dreamwork; active imagination; alchemical psychology; the use of divination and synchronicity in clinical practice.
The clinical relationship from a Jungian (not Freudian) perspective. Presence, attunement, and creative expression.

*Our goal is to provide accessible engagement with Jung’s clinical ideas, along with depth psychological supervision and a community of like-minded clinicians. This program will not in any way certify you to become a Jungian Analyst and does not purport to compare to such programs.
You can register with a $500 deposit. The remaining balance of $1200 can be paid later this year or with a 3-part payment plan.
